Barber's exciting School for Scandal Overture and the powerful Sinfonia da Requiem by Britten are followed by Dvorak's sublime cello concerto. For our featured soloist, we are proud to bring you Clancy Newman, winner of the 2001 Naumburg International Cello Competition - one of the most prestigious competitions in the world.

Guitarist Miraslav Loncar portrays the Spanish countryside and majestic court life in the Concerto de Aranjuez, and the popular Symphony in D minor by Franck brings this impressive evening of music to a beautiful conclusion.
