2011 SCHOOL CONCERTS
ATTENTION EDUCATORS!
An open invitation to all elementary and middle schools
The Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra presents the annual School Concerts on Thursday, February 3 and Friday, February 4, 2011. All concerts will be at the Saenger Theatre in Biloxi, 9:00-10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. each day.
Don’t delay! Seating is limited!
The Misadventures of Peer Gynt features music by Edvard Grieg for Henrik Ibsen’s classic play. Some of the world’s most familiar music is included, such as “Morning Mood” and “In the Hall of the Mountain King.” These misadventures will be presented through great music with humor and good fun.
Teacher/student listening guides will be mailed to all enrolled schools before Christmas and after January 1 for later applicants. Although the School Concerts target elementary and middle schools, the music selections and materials are relevant for all grade levels.
